Former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma gets arms license amid threats over her prophet remarks.

Former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, who was suspended from the party following an outcry over her comments on the Prophet, has been granted a personal gun license. A Delhi Police official on Thursday confirmed that Nupur Sharma had applied for a gun license as she was receiving death threats.

In June 2022, she was suspended from the party due to her comments about the Islamic prophet Muhammad and the age of his third wife, Aisha, at the time of their marriage and the consummation of the marriage.

Nupur Sharma has been facing death threats to her from Islamists after Alt News Co-founder Mohammed Zubair instigated Islamists to go after her for her comments on Prophet Muhammad and his wife Ayesha.

Remember Zubair shared half cut video of a TV Debate on his Twitter, And Zubair did not share the video part in which the other person in the debate was insulting Shivji.

Recently, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi said he will not be surprised if Nupur Sharma contests from Delhi in the 2024 Lok Sabha election. "BJP will definitely use her. I will not be surprised if she is made a candidate from Delhi in the Lok Sabha elections," the AIMIM MP said.
